About
The Kinsella Library serves as repository for Mr. Kinsella’s collections of California plein air art and memorabilia from the hit Broadway show, Jersey Boys. In addition to the plein air paintings, the art collection includes pieces by Jean Wells, a local artist known for her large-scaled and life-sized mosaic sculptures featuring Pop-inspired objects such as ice cream cones, hot dogs and candy. The library holds in its collection the book, Bhutan: A Visiual Odyssey Across the Last Himalayan Kingdom - the 2003 world’s record holder for the largest published book as certified by the Guiness Book of World Records. In the main reading room there sits the Elton John Limited Edition Signature Series Red Piano of which there are only 30 in the world and Sir Elton John played on the very piano housed in the Kinsella Library.
Although the building housed a large book collection under the former owner, The Kinsella Library is no longer a research library. However, we encourage visitors to book a visit and see the art and the Jersey Boys gallery… You can make an appointment for a tour during our public hours on the Book a Tour Page.
